Abundant moisture due to southeasterly low level flow will continue this into this afternoon across the region. This will lead to another round of thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall possible. Initial development is expected over the Pikes Peak Region, south along the Eastern Mountains. Thunderstorms will then spread south and east into the I-25 corridor by this evening, and south and east across the Plains overnight. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible with storms given the moisture rich environment. If one of these storms moves over a burn scar, flash flooding will be possible. The risk of flash flooding is particularly enhanced on the Decker and Spring burn scars where heavy rain has fallen over the past couple of days.
