Today, it was my honor to meet Alexandra Ramirez, and her family, during a celebration for the Vinewood Park mural completion.
In early July, Alexandra emailed Pueblo Parks and Rec saying she wanted Vinewood Park cleaned up. Our Parks Department went into action, working with Alexandra adding trash cans and picnic tables. Pueblo's Arts Alliance and their Impact Youth Initiative got involved, soon after, painting a new mural under the picnic stand at the park.
I'm inspired by what Alexandra and her friends have accomplished. She united her neighborhood and changed a piece of our city.
Also, I want to say thank you to Cynthia Ramu and Katie Magby of the Pueblo Arts Alliance and Barbara Alpin our Pueblo Parks Volunteer Organizer for their good work. #puebloproud
