It’s National Police Women’s Day.
It’s a celebration to honor the countless sacrifices and dedication of our female deputies. We continuously honor those who paved way before them and contributed to the success of our Office.
The first police woman in the United States was most likely Marie Owens, who was hired by the Chicago Police Department in 1891. Today, roughly ten percent of the police force in the United States is women.
Our gratitude extends to all the female officers of the law enforcement #community. Thank you!
