It's National Principals Month! We will be celebrating our extraordinary principals on our social media platforms throughout the month. This is Bridget O'Connor, Principal at Lewis-Palmer High School.
Bridget shared some of her heart with her staff at the beginning of the school year. Here is some of what she wrote.
"In my previous life as a teacher and coach, there is a theory that a good halftime speech needs to be tailored to your team’s personality. If the team is up- it is generally a good time to push them and raise the expectations. If they are down- they probably need to know that you believe in them and share the possibility in what they can accomplish. A few years ago a bold student athlete gave me some great advice. She said I needed to “love them more than you push them.”
Bridget, thank you for all you do and for your endless investments in our students and staff! We are lucky to have you in LPSD. #nationalprincipalsmonth #d38pride #oneteamourteam #celebrations #appreciation #recognition #rangers
