Riders are getting the itch with the first signs of winter, so I thought it would be a great time for an introduction for the Avalanche Project.

My name is Summer Andersen and with the help of my friends, supporters, and Action Motor Sports I started the Adam Andersen Avalanche Project shortly after my husband Adam was killed in an avalanche on January 10, 2018 in Island Park Idaho. At the time of his death, Adam and I had welcomed a beautiful baby girl just eight weeks earlier and our sweet little boys were 3 and 6 years old.

The last two and half years has been by far the most difficult of my life, but my drive for preventing another family experiencing what we have has not changed. I am passionate about promoting avalanche safety awareness.

I utilize this social media page to share avalanche forecasting in our areas, education opportunities, projects this non profit does to promote our message, and generally encourage everyone to have fun while being #avysavy.

Feel free to share this page so we can continue to spread the word!
