Early this morning, Ofc. Brandon Victor developed information on the whereabouts of FBI Safe Streets fugitive Isidore DeHerrera, wanted on a no-bond, nationwide extradition felony warrant. Other officers responded to assist and surrounded the house.

DeHerrera wouldn’t come out so officers gave commands over a loudspeaker: “We have a warrant for your arrest. Come out with your hands up. We’re not leaving!” No response, so Ofc. Vahlbusch wrote a search warrant, to go along with the arrest warrant.

When it was signed, officers breached the door, to find DeHerrera & a female just sitting there in the living room, where they were immediately taken into custody. The female also had a warrant, so she was arrested, too. They expressed dismay at their door having been broken, & officers said, “We’ve been out here for over an hour and a half talking to you on the loudspeaker. All you had to do was open the door.” They had no good explanation for that.

There was a cute bulldog pup, & since he was the only one there without a warrant, he was left to a friend’s care. Great job by all!
