There are many hurting children and families in our community, and our Department of Human Services has partnered with CarePortal to link those in need to those who want to help.
El Paso County Department of Human Services has been working closely with the non-profit CarePortal for the last four years to provide services to children in out-of-home care. El Paso County DHS and CarePortal are proud to have served over 8,000 children in our region as a part of their partnership, providing items like household essentials, beds and bedding, car seats and utility payments.
CarePortal is an online platform that brings the needs of hurting children and families in your community to your attention. Caseworkers uncover the needs. CarePortal makes local churches aware, giving them a real-time opportunity to respond.
If you're interested in lending a hand, or you are in need and would like to request support, visit Careportal.org
