Crews prepare for post-Labor Day traffic shift
After the Labor Day holiday weekend, crews with Concrete Works of Colorado will shift traffic to the new concrete pavement on US Highway 160 around the CO 17 intersection. They will then move to constructing the other half of the road. This will temporarily change access to the businesses in the vicinity. Please see the attached map on how motorists will be rerouted, and where customers can park. Flaggers will be available to safely guide travelers in this area.
Other businesses in the area not mentioned in the diagram may also experience some minor access impacts.
Construction on this project is expected to go through December. Working hours are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
COVID-19
Safe transportation infrastructure is essential for all of us, particularly for emergency first responders and freight drivers as Colorado navigates the COVID-19 pandemic. With that in mind, CDOT maintenance and construction crews follow social distancing and other health safety measures to reduce COVID-19 exposure on the worksite. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment announced guidelines for construction activities. The public is urged to join the campaign for #DoingMyPartCO by practicing social distancing and wearing face masks. As traffic returns to normal levels, motorists must drive cautiously and heed the speed limit so all of us can return home safely.
