To break the chain of transmission (reduce spread) of COVID-19, it is important that close contacts* of people diagnosed with COVID-19 isolate for 14 days from the date of last interaction with the case. Fourteen days is the length of the incubation of the virus meaning most people, if infected with the virus, will develop the disease during this time period. It is also important to note that people can be infectious with COVID-19 before they start showing symptoms (up to 48 hrs.). Also, some might be asymptomatic meaning they can be infectious without showing symptoms.

*A close contact of a COVID-19 case is defined as being in close proximity (<6 feet) for a specified period of time (15+ cumulative minutes) with the case while they are infectious.

Please help us slow the spread of COVID-19 by isolating if exposed, staying home when you are sick, washing your hands, maintaining physical distance between others, and wearing a face covering when not able to physical distance. Also, having a mask on doesn't replace the need to keep physical distance.😷
